Friday's Motivational Push

We all have goals and dreams, but it can be difficult to stick with them.
Each week, I hear from people who say things like, “I start with good intentions, but I can’t seem to maintain my consistency for a long period of time.”
Or, they will say, “I struggle with mental endurance. I get started but I can’t seem to follow through and stay focused for very long.”

Don’t worry. I’m just as guilty of this as anyone else.

For example, I’ll start one project, work on it for a little bit, then lose focus and try something else. And then I’ll lose focus on my new goal and try something else. And on and on. When everything is said and done, I’ve stopped and started so many times that I never really made much progress.
Maybe you have felt this way too.

When you look at the people who are consistently achieving their goals, you start to realize that it’s not the events or the results that make them different. It’s their commitment to the process. They fall in love with the daily practice, not the individual event.

What’s funny, of course, is that this focus on the process is what will allow you to enjoy the results anyway…

If you want to be a great writer, then having a best-selling book is wonderful. But the only way to reach that result is to fall in love with the process of writing.

If you want the world to know about your business, then it would be great to be featured in Forbes magazine. But the only way to reach that result is to fall in love with the process of marketing.

If you want to be in the best shape of your life, then losing 20 pounds might be necessary. But the only way to reach that result is to fall in love with the process of eating healthy and exercising consistently.

If you want to become significantly better at anything, you have to fall in love with the process of doing it. You have to fall in love with building the identity of someone who does the work, rather than merely dreaming about the results that you want.

In other words…

Fall in love with boredom. Fall in love with repetition and practice. Fall in love with the process of what you do and let the results take care of themselves.

The dictionary tells us that hope is "a yearning with expectation or anticipation."  The Greek definition of hope means "to be intensely expectant, to be confidently looking forward to something you fully expect to happen."

Do you desire something in your life? That hope or anticipation can be the anchor of your soul. Hope helps you set divinely-inspired goals. While anchor is defined as "something that serves to hold an object firmly in place." An anchor keeps you from drifting. Hope can keep our soul - which is made up of our mind, will, emotions, and thinking faculites - at rest in turbulent waters.

When the waves are crashing against your ship, and you're in the middle of the storm, the anchor of hope serves its purpose by keeping you at rest. That hope keeps you from drifting off into troubled waters.

We experience the greatest battle in our mind. When you have prayed and believed God for certain things, and your head starts telling you there's no way this is going to happen, hope is the expectation that will anchor your soul and straighten up your thinking. Hope will keep you at rest, firm and steady, when your mind is being bombarded by thoughts of giving up.

Don't forget all those times God answered your prayers and performed miracles in your life. Remembering those impossible situations He brought you out of will cause hope to rise up on the inside of you and anchor your soul!

You have to make your mind, will, emotions, and thinking faculties line-up with what the Word of God says. You have to tell your soul to have hope, to not give up, and to trust God! With that hope and trust, you come out victorious.

Get-rich-quick schemes are just that – schemes. Much as we might wish otherwise, none of us are never going to go from average Joe to the Forbes list of richest people in the world overnight.

So how do the rich get rich? Some are born that way and some get lucky. Others have advantages most of us will never have. But if you ask the world’s self-made billionaires how they achieved success, most will tell you it’s not that they’re necessarily smarter than everyone else and they didn’t rely on a some super-secret formula the rest of us don’t know about. Instead, they often credit their success to taking risks.

When speaking to people in their forties and beyond, many say that if they could do their career over again, they will have taken more risks, settled less and spoken up more often. In short, they wished they would ve been more courageous in the risks they’d taken.  Perhaps you relate.

Often we know what it is we want to do, but we still don’t do it. Why? Because we are innately risk averse and afraid of putting our vulnerability on the line. The status quo, while not particularly fulfilling, can seem like an easier, softer, less scary, option.  In other words, we find it much easier to settle with the status quo, keep our mouths closed and our heads down rather than make a change, take a chance,  or speak up and engage in what I call a “courageous conversation.”

With the rise in popularity of MMM and other multi-level marketing networks, many have decided to push fear aside and take the risk to invest. Network marketing, otherwise known as multi-level marketing, is often stigmatized as get-rich-quick or pyramid schemes. While the myth that all network marketing companies are scams is steadily being dispelled, some still question whether these businesses are actually worth getting involved in — can ordinary people be successful at them? My answer is yes.

There are quite some reliable multi-marketing networks you can try out like:

Zarfund where you trade on bitcoins  https://www.zarfund.com/ref/5dcbb65b9c
Crowd Rising http://www.crowdrising.net/ref/Teddieb
icharity.  http://icharity.club/?ref=teddie1
MMM Nigeria
Givers Forum
Helping Hands International etc

Will there be risks involved? Of course!  But remember that you are wired to both overestimate the size of them and to underestimate your ability to handle them.  The truth is, as Lao Tsu wrote two thousand years ago, “You are capable of more than you think.”

Fear regret more than failure – history has shown that we fail far more from timidity than we do from over daring.  Or to quote a little Latin: Fortes fortuna Nigeria
.

“Fortune favors the bold.”

Sunday's Motivational Push

Many winners have reached success by climbing a special ladder called “never give up.” However, there are also many who have lost the opportunity to achieve success because they gave up too soon. This can happen in every area of life: family, education, friends, work, service. Perseverance is a key to victory.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
The apostle Paul persevered despite persecution and affliction (2 Tim. 3:10–11). He viewed life with realism, recognizing that as followers of Christ we will suffer persecution (vv. 12–13), but he instructed Timothy to place his faith in God and the encouragement of the Scriptures (vv. 14–15). Doing so would help him face discouragement and endure with hope. At the end of his life, Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (4:7).

We too can allow the Scriptures to strengthen us to press on in the race marked out for us. For our God is both a promise-making and promise-keeping God and will reward those who faithfully finish the race.

Faith connects our weakness to God’s strength.

Of cos on your way up, many will ignore, laugh and even fight you.
That doesn't make you a failure. Inspite of the negative vibes around, try to stay positive and focused with your eyes on the prize.

You might be pained from the neglect from even those close to you, but that pain is weakness giving way for inner strength to come forth. Give your self esteem a boost daily and don't relent in your push to succeed cos if you don't quit from the race, most definitely you will cross the finish line, victorious.

The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Are you a productive person? Have you ever wondered what makes one more productive than another?

Unlike what most might think, being productive is not about one’s intellect or capability. Being productive is about practicing certain habits over others, such that you can get the most out of your days. As someone very passionate about personal productivity, you should build habits to be superior in boosting one’s productivity. Practice them and prepare to skyrocket your productivity!

Wednesday's Motivational Push

Worry and negativity are a misuse of your imagination. Beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from negative thoughts and people. Negativity is like poison. It distracts you, harms you and kills your energy. People either inspire you or they drain you. I don’t know about you, but I've made the choice to be around people who inspire and encourage me, and distance myself from those who only bring me down.

The two types of energies we possess are negative and positive energy. Positive energy makes us feel happy, energized, full of life, inspired, motivated and healthy. Negative energy makes us feel tired, unhappy, sad, depressed and angry. It's also important to recognize that an extreme volume of negative energy will create sickness.

Think about what your current lifestyle is and how you react to negativity. Do you take it and let people get the best of you, or do you make a conscious choice to remove yourself from the toxicity that negativity breeds? Be honest with yourself. Once you are able to determine where you fall on the spectrum, think about how you want to respond to negativity going forward. Do you or don’t you want to invite it into your life. Decide. Make a choice. And then make it happen.

If you’re only grateful when things go right, that's a form of negativity. Gratitude is positive. If you are grateful for what is (including the unpleasant), then you will invite more positive energy into your life.

“Live your life free from fear, judgment, negativity and worry. Have the courage to see the positivity in every situation, learn from your mistakes and follow your dreams!”  -  Alynn Marble

You will remain at the bottom if you look for approval from anyone before making an important move' - actress Damilola Attoh

As Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite Attoh shared via social media. Read below...

"I had a very scary dream last night. I have had quite a number of dreams similar to that this year. I woke up panicking, heart beat racing, very afraid. Fast forward to a few minutes ago, I was taking my son to school. Sitting in the back seat with him, he reached out and lifted my hand to his face, as if he knew something was wrong.
I had to fight back my tears. It felt like he was reminding me to stay strong for him. He is only two! No one will ever fully understand what your struggles and fears are. No friend, no family. The only one who has enough reason to make a decision is you. If you are looking for approval from anyone before you make that move, you will remain at the bottom, in sorrow till you are courageous enough to put your foot down and fight for what you want (or against what you do not want).I know many of us would want to leave all the necessary adjustments in the "new year resolution folder". We all think we have all the time in the world. What if we don't? Be angry and tired enough to start making changes to your life, now! Live the life you deserve, the life that you would be happy to look back at when you die. Do not worry about what people will say or think. It is your life! Live it in a way that gives YOU peace.

When you take risks, you learn that there will be times when you succeed
and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important.

Think about it. Try naming one historical figure that made a difference by playing it safe and being average. The vast majority of successful people are remembered for the difference that they made in their lifetime. And that difference required them to take risks and challenge the status quo.

We are inspired by people who go beyond the norm and push the boundaries of possibility. Mediocrity, on the other hand, does not inspire. Nor does it lead to greatness. Success, however you define it, will elude you unless you are willing to push the limits you have placed on yourself, and that others have placed on you.

Take a moment to revisit your goals and dreams. As you review them, think through what risks you may have to take in order to accomplish them. Are you willing to risk ridicule, failure, misunderstanding, etc.? If you are, you can experience success and the thrill of proclaiming, “Wow… I finally made it"

Sunday's Motivational Push

What stops us from accomplishments most times is FEAR.
The dreams of most person's have being killed as a result of fear.
I believe we can say that when God leads you to step out in an area to do something new, or leads you to make a bigger commitment, you may (or probably will) feel fear. However, if you're sure God told you to do it, put your trust in Him and go forward.

Isaiah 41:10 says, Fear not, for I am with you. I believe God works gently with us to bring us out of bondage and into liberty. If you've been afraid of something and desire to be free, the time will eventually come when you'll have to face your fear and not run away from it. Just take Jesus' hand, acknowledge that He is with you, and do it. If you're afraid of people with authority, the time will come when you'll have to confront an authority figure and not cower in fear. If you are to make a business decision and scared to take that move hold His hands and overcome the fright. God will have arranged the time. He'll be there, but you'll have to choose whether to go through or run away.

If you're at one of these crossroads in your life, let me encourage you to go forward. Don't stand still in terror, but take His hand and go forward. Remember, fear torments and God wants to deliver you from all of your fears.

The life of an entrepreneur or a goal getter can sometimes be very discouraging. At such times it's best to hold on to HOPE Having Only Positive Expectations. This hope should be on God and a belief deep within of a positive outcome.

When we have hope in God, we must know that He always wants what is best for us. We must also trust that His will, not our will, be done. It is only through Him that we can always have HOPE.

After the God factor, we can then concentrate on our will undoubtedly!
What you believe WILL become your reality! Too often we have this thought process that thinks that we are in our current situation because of our circumstance but what we need to realize is that it is our expectation that has allowed our circumstance to be less than we deserve!

The moment we raise our expectations of ourselves is the moment we begin to journey on the path to success! Forget all the negative mediocre people who tell you that if you expect nothing you will never be disappointed! Know that if you don’t expect anything you will never get anything! Raise your bar and hold steadfast to jump over it and live the life you deserve!

God has deposited greatness is upon everyone! Do what you need to do to make it a reality through Christ Jesus. BE HOPEFUL!!!

Monday's Motivational Push

In our everyday life we are surrounded by a variety of people. Some of the people we deal with on a daily basis are a joy to be with, and their loving presence nurtures and encourages us.

Others may have the opposite effect: draining us of our energy, making us feel tired and exhausted through constant emotional bullying and manipulation. We must refuse to allow ourselves to be treated poorly. Our well-being is definitely easily influenced by those around us, and if we can keep this in mind, we will have greater insights into the quality of our social interactions and their energetic effect on us.

When we surround ourselves with positive people, we clear away the negativity that exists around us and create more room to welcome nurturing and renewed energy. Doing this not only enriches our lives, but also envelops us in a supportive and healing space that fosters greater growth, understanding, and love of ourselves - as well as those we care about.

Choose your friends with care - they create the environment in which you will either thrive or wilt. Give everyone the opportunity to be a friend, but share your dreams and goals only with those who value them as much as you do as they will play a vital role in your success story.

Many times I ve being laughed at and mocked with many believing I'll amount to nothing.
Walking on the streets and i become a topic for discussion cos they see me as a failure.
But no, God has placed in me great amount of greatness and for each level of challenges,
He opens my eyes of wisdom to be lifted to the next. Even when I failed, the lessons learnt are blessings in disguise.

From a nobody, I became one of the top in my area of profession  with several nominations and awards as Best TV Presenter, Best TV Programme etc...
Many youths look up to me one way or the other and it humbles me.
This feat marvels me cos I prayed for it, and with God's wisdom and hard work I got here. (Yes I try as much as I can not to allow it get into my head 😊.)

With every new levels are new devil's and as usual, mockers are at it again.
My prayers and wishes now are so big that I'm frightened sometimes when I think of it.
This time I'm more knowledgeable about God's promises so I push my request to the extreme knowing He can do exceedingly and abundantly above all I ask.
I just look at my haters and mockers and laugh cos I'm a work in progress in God's Hands.

So if you feel dejected and rejected, mocked and laughed at, I say, be of good courage, cheer up and look up to the hills from where your help will come from. Your help will come from God so fix your attention on Him through His son Christ Jesus.
Truth is, It's really a good thing for you to be mocked so that when you are elevated they will see Gods glory on your life.
Hold on and hold out. If He did it before, He will do it again, He's still in the business of touching lives.... Selah

Waiting for that perfect timing to make a move is like waiting forever.
You should have it at the back of your mind that no time is perfect to start up or do something.... That's procrastinating and it never gets the job done.
So start now, start afresh, make that move, you won't regret you did.

Thursday's Motivational Push

It seems this year just zoomed by and now we are almost at the end of the year, with many wondering, "what have I achieved?"
We live in a fast-paced society, where everything moves at lightning speed and everyone wants instant success. We have become an impatient bunch wishing success happens overnight. But then its best to know that everything in life needs time to grow

Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; while hurry and scurry puts you further behind.” Proverbs 21:5
Jeremiah 2:25a, “Slow down. Take a deep breath. What’s the hurry? Why wear yourself out? Just what are you after anyway?”
1 Peter 5:6-7, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”

Truth is even if you rush life, you wont be too pleased and satisfied with the end result. Learn how to rise above the rush of endless demands of life.
If you find yourself rushing around weary and anxious because of the requests and demands of life, one thing you can do differently is ask God to help you plan your schedule? Take a few minutes now and ask Him for guidance and direction.

It's all in your thoughts " Failing and succeeding ".
So you should push those thoughts of failing away from your mind and live by the thoughts of being a success.
Always keep the end picture of you being a success in your head.
Its left for the other parts of the body, to in unison bring that desired dream through.
