The Rock buys his Dad a car and shares touching story of how his father was kicked out of home at age 13

Actor and professional wrestler, Dwayne Johnsosn, AKA The Rock, has shared a sad story about all that his dad suffered at a very young age and how it has shaped his life. Read the touching story below;

“Bought my dad a Christmas gift and surprised him. He's had a hard life. This one felt good. My dad, Rocky Johnson is a minimalist. Always has been. Never asks me for much and over the years his needs are always the barest. Crazy story, my dad's dad died when he was 13yrs old.

That Christmas, my dad's mom had her new boyfriend over for Christmas dinner. Her boyfriend got drunk and pissed on the turkey. My dad went outside, got a shovel, drew a line in the snow and said if you cross that line I'll kill you. The drunk crossed it and my dad laid him cold as a block of ice. Cops were called. They told my dad's mom that when her boyfriend regains consciousness, he's gonna kill your son so one of them has got to go. In front of the entire family, my dad's mom looked at him and said get out.

He was 13yrs old and now homeless. That f*cked up true story happened in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1954. He needed the bare minimum then, just like does now. Over the years, I've moved him into a big home, got him trucks to drive (which he'll literally drive into the ground until I get him something else;). Hell, I'll get him anything he wants, but the SOB just won't ask. Every Christmas, I always think about that story and my dad having every odd stacked against him at 13, but he fought thru it and still made something of himself.

Makes me appreciate his struggle and hard work. Also, makes me appreciate the fun times he would beat my ass in the gym so bad when I was 13 and say "If you're gonna throw up, go outside.. and if you're gonna cry, then go home to your mother".

I hated it then, but I embrace now. Made a man outta me. Without pissing on my turkey. 🏾. Just a small way of saying thank you dad and Merry Christmas! #DwantaClaus🏾”

Emmanuel Ugolee still needs your help! Only $3k has been raised out of $100k he needs

Veteran TV host Emmanuel Ugolee needs your help to raise money for his kidney transplant. On his Gofundme page where you can donate, he wrote;

"For 5 years I have lived with stage 5 of the chronic kidney disease. With a failed transplant in 2012. Several procedures and dialysis done 3 times a week and numerous complications I have mentally, emotionally, physically and fiancially been steady hovering around a breaking point

Irrespective, I decided to push on and give an attempt at survival my all. With a few well meaning friends I have carried this burden alone for half a decade at great cost.

The will to keep pushing may be present but my body, experts say, is unable to take the routine battering any more. Hence my veins are giving way. Currently, some major veins close to the heart are narrowing up and making blood circulation irregular, breathing difficult and my upper body blotting. Venous stenosis they medically call it

The immediate solution is to put in a stent in the vein and go for the transplant. Sadly I have no funds to solo push for being alive anymore. I need you please to keep me here

So I plead for your sympathy to be transformed into action on my behalf with supporting this attempt to raise funds for my transplant.

May God bless you as you get moved in your heart to help.

Kindly help spread the word!

Help spread the word!

Popular Port Harcourt gospel artist shot dead by unknown gunmen

Port Harcourt-based gospel artist, Godswill Adiks, popularly known as Will Adiks, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Wednesday night, December 21st.

According to PUO Report, the handsome Minister was ambushed by gunmen at the Rivers State Axis of the East-West Road while returning back from a programme in Benin, Edo State.

He was rushed to the University Of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital in Choba, where he was in coma for hours. On the evening of Thursday, December 22nd, he passed away. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

It was gathered that the gunmen had trailed his car, shot him at close range alongside his two guitarists, a case described as assassination. A tribute posted on Facebook, Jamy-Lee Pastor Jay, who said the deceased was her brother:

"I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and the day before that too. i think of you in silence, i often speak your name. all i have are memories and pictures in frame. your memory is a keepsake, from which i will never part. God has you in his arms. i have you in my heart. A thousand words won’t bring you back, I know because I’ve tried; neither will a thousand tears, I know because I’ve cried. If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, i’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. A voice from a family is gone , a voice we loved is stilled, a place is vacant in the home which never can be filled . I miss you Godwill . Could i just see you once again ? Have us sing together once again ? I dreamt of you last night you where so happy . I know your in a better place now . Singing and worshiping in heaven ..... till we meet again..... you said you would always have my back and protect me any way u can . I hope u keeping that promise now that your in heaven too . I Love You my brother Will Adiks . . You are forever in my heart and memories"

Another friend wrote on Facebook:

"September 6th 2013. The first time Will Adiks and I became friends... I saw him progress while I also help his ministry... I remember when he will come to me late at night in my church studio where I lived and beg me to burn some cds he will take to the place he was to perform the next day. God uplifted him and his songs grew to every length and breadth of south south and beyond. Last weekend while watching the performance of Travis Greene at the Experience 2016. I immediately wished that he will be given the opportunity at the next edition of the Experience to minister to hundred of thousands that will be in attendance. 13th December, 2016 was the last time we spoke on phone, I called him because the cab driver that was taking my wife and I home was playing some tracks from his album... I was even miming the songs to him, he laughed and said God bless you Joe. My dear friend Efe Dollar broke the news to me and I am so much in pains now. While discussing, I said, my prayer for him would be that he had reconcile with his maker before given up the ghost or If God knows he will go to the other side... then He should please by mercy resurrect him back and give him a second chance even though it was a gun incident because 'Adiks' as I fondly called him has inspire me and lots of people to even know HIM(GOD) better. Infact, I don't know what to write again. Adieu! my dear friend Adiks"

Foremost TV host Emmanuel Ugolee needs urgent help for kidney transplant

This is a personal plea to help save a friend of mine, Emmanuel Ugolee. No one who has followed the evolution of Nigerian entertainment would be a stranger to his name as we all recall his enormous contribution to its growth.

Many of us would also recall that in 2012 he was diagnosed with stage 5 of the chronic kidney disease which placed him on dialysis as the source of sustaining his life until he could get a kidney transplant which he got in India on February 22, 2012 paying for it by his own efforts.

Like many celebrities who had gone for transplant in India, it failed just six months after transplant.

Infact his creatinine level for measuring nomalcy never hit the required reading from the theatre until it packed up again It's been about 5years since then and Emma Ugolee is still living with the nightmare of the disease and a 3 time weekly treatment called dialysis where he gets his blood purified for four hours at an average of N35,000 per session.

That is 48 hours at N420,000 in a month. You can do the maths for the last four and a half years. This is outside several expensive procedures and surgeries from varied complications that he has encountered in this period. Outside the fact that I personally do not have what it takes to watch anyone at all suffer on health grounds, I think there is only so much one man can take for so long and Emmanuel to me has stretched the limits of bearing this by himself and a few well meaning friends.

I have been particularly inspired by his positive spirit all this while. Dealing with so much mental, physical, emotional and financial strain with a positive spirit. Never sorry for himself or comfortable with being a dependant. When Emma Ugolee lost his job on health grounds in September 2015, I was moved by the zeal and hardwork with which he began his TV show 'The Gist' which is currently running on HipTv.

Even with extreme pain, Emmanuel would keep late nights making show the weekly show never fails while yet awaiting sponsorship. If you knew Emmanuel Ugolee you would not think twice about helping. He is reputed for having an extremely giving and hardworking spirit. He has had a large societal impact on enlightening the public on the disease with celebrity walks, Radio and Television campaigns etc It is time please to come to his aid.

He is currently dealing with stenosis of a major vein which is blotting his upper body even after a recent 8 hour sugery in the Kano state teaching hospital. His physicians admit that his body is getting tired and would best need the transplant soon. He is looking increasing weak and sick and it is dangerous to let this go on.

We would hate to loose him I am kindly calling on every well meaning individual who is reading this to please do what you can to help Emmanuel Ugolee go for his surgery in the United States early next year.

He is in current talks with the Kidney centre of the University of Maryland known for dealing with complex kidney disease cases and it is so far projected that a basic $10,000 would be required for all pre surgery evaluation and $90,000 for the actual live donor transplant. Emmanuel is a very intelligent, resourceful, warm, hard working and inspiring man that deserves your mercy.

Please show it as God greatly rewards you. Contributions may be sent to Emmanuel Ugolee, Zenith Bank 1002786554 Encouraging messages sent to 08033068465 is also sure to get to him

Cristiano Ronaldo wins the 2016 Ballon D'or award for the 4th time

Real Madrid and Portugal super star Cristiano Ronaldo had been crowned the world's best player for 2016 after he defeated rival Lionel Messi to clinch the Ballon D'or award for the fourth time in his very illustrious career.

The award crowns such a hardworking year for the Madeira native who helped Real Madrid win the UEFA champions league title and also helped his country, Portugal, to win a historic EURO 2016 cup, despite the huge odds against them.

The striker topped the poll of 173 journalists worldwide to take home France Football magazine's coveted award on Monday night held in Paris, France.

The player was not present in Paris to collect the award due to the Club World Cup which Reeal Madrid is currently participating in, in Japan.

Messi came second in the award while Antonie Griezmann of France/Atletico Madrid came third.
FIFA will hold its own award 'the Best' awards in January and Ronaldo is favorite to win that award also.

Congrats to Ronaldo! One of the greatest athletes of our time!

"Solomon Dalung is the most embarrassing human being in the Nation" - actor Kunle Remi slams the sports minister

The backlash continues! Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, told state house correspondents in Abuja on Thursday that the reason the Super Falcons who recently won the African Women Cup of Nations have not been paid their allowances is because they were not expected to win the competition...

Lere Olayinka, Media aide to Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, also slammed the minister via his Facebook page.

I told my ex-wife long before we got married I was a gay but she trusted God to convert me to a heterosexual- Kenny Badmus

Kenny, who came out as a gay man early last year, was recently in Nigeria. On his Facebook page, Kenny wrote about his losses since he came out. He shared on how his ex-wife of six years believed God would heal him and convert him to a heterosexual man even when she knew his orientation before they got married. He also shared on how he lost a yearly Federal government contract after his ex-wife told people he was gay. Read after the cut...

May 2014.
In the case of Bademosi vs. Bademosi at the magistrate court, Ikeja, Lagos, my wife's lawyer opened his statement with how a person who directly or indirectly makes a public show of same-sex amorous relationship in Nigeria commits an offense and is liable on conviction to a term of 10 years. And how anyone convicted of entering into a same-sex marriage contract or civil union should face up to 14 years imprisonment.

"How did you know your husband is a homosexual"? The Judge said to my wife as she walked into the witness stand

"Kanny," she said with her thick Igbo accent.
"Kanny is a homosexual my Lord, I caught him with his male lover" She looked straight into my eyes daring me to deny her allegation. My lawyer gestured me to remain silent.

"Kai, this man na homosexual. May God punish you!" the noise in the courtroom began to rise as strangers held their noses up.

I raised a fist to shield my smashed ego and tucked my face under my arm. My armpit oozed a mix of sweat and shame as my pressed white shirt collected the stench of fear dripping from my body. When I touched my face, I felt nothing. The Magistrate struck the gavel against a piece of wood, but the chant of 'punish all homos' had already gained a wild momentum.

My accuser - my wife- rode on the waves of support coming from the crowd as she recounted the names of men she suspected I had slept with to the court. My shoemaker, my barber, my art directors, my writers, my uncles, my nephews, and my strategic partner, Mr. Trasher from South Africa, whose heterosexual passion cannot be rivaled by Hugh Hefner. According to her, this man was also fucking me. Via Facebook and Skype meetings, Mr. Trasher bunked me, she submitted. She swore by it. If it were possible, in her account, I had also slept with our Audi car - a male German breed with pure muscles and monstrous phallus. This was the moment she had been waiting for since we separated in 2010. Buoyed by a firm support from the evangelical church, she made a final case why I should be punished by law for daring to acknowledge my sexual preference for men over her. "How dare you," she quipped, "how dare you leave the natural nurture of almighty pudenda for such oddity called prick!"

Don't rush to blame her, Diary. If I were her, and I didn't know better, I could be doing the same thing. Yes, it's true that I had told her I was gay long before we married, but she honestly counted on Jehovah God to use her cooter to convert me into a full-fledged heterosexual. How could you blame her for trusting God's word? Now that six years of intense fuck didn't change anything, she had come to use the instrument of law. Hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord. It's also God's word. The infallible word of God.

Punish the faggot! The courtroom echoed.

My lawyer touched me gently. "Don't panic. It is not in the place of a civil court to prosecute a crime of Nigeria's Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act. This is a family court, she said. I retreated into a funk. My head deflated. My feet wobbled like that of a rope walker who just skipped a beat while trying to impress Simon Cowell.

"Do you have any means to leave the country?" my lawyer said.
"No, I don't. I haven't been paid at my job for over six months, but I have a pending scholarship to study in the States," I whispered as we crawled out of the court.
"I'd pursue that as quickly as possible," the barrister said.

I recalled how I had always wanted to do my masters in the USA, and how someone living with HIV could never travel to the States until Obama lifted the ban in 2009.

(The old lady sitting next to me on the plane just got up. Let me quickly use the bathroom before she returns. Hold that thought about HIV.) I'll be back.

Diary, are you still there? I had to drop some load while in the restroom. Note to self: never eat Chipotle before departing for a long flight.

Meanwhile, a question that has been bothering me.
Where does the shit we shit on the plane go? Ok, wait, let me google this.

Dear Google, where does our shit go when we flush at 35,000 feet up?

Ha, here is an explanation from Gizmodo:

Between 1979 and 2003, at least 27 wads of shit fell from the sky in the United States alone, impacting with enough force to tear through roofs and smash cars. Shit!

Nowadays, according to my Google source, modern planes carry shit in a special compartment under their belly. On the surface, on board, everything smells good because the airplane uses a particular suction device to push all that mess far away from people's eyes and noses. Once the plane arrives its destination, it then empties all that shit before it flies again. That's exactly how I feel living with HIV and being a gay man. I can live with HIV. I can at least hide it with some suction device, pose for the camera and say that famous line: HIV is never written on the face. Yea, right? Magic Johnson could announce in 1991 that he had contracted HIV, and still return to play in the 1992 All-Star Game but Justin Fashanu, the first black footballer to command a $1.23million transfer fee could not announce he was gay. Being black and gay stinks. Or why do you think so many great black men and women who are gay never come out to say it? Let's not mention names. You know who I'm referring to.

You travel such a long distance in this life, achieve so much, fly high. Unlike others around you, once you are out, you have no suction device to hide your shit as a gay person. No support system. Just you. So your shit keeps falling from the sky, tearing through roofs. Then people continue to talk. How come you are like this? How come your wife is leaving you? How come you are still single? Didn't the Bible condemn that shit? How come, how come?

For me when my shit started to fall, many family members stayed away. (I'll talk about those who stayed through the shit later) Friends refused to pick my calls. Wifey had told them I was gay. Church stayed away. Jesus had told them 'touch not the unclean thing.' The advertising industry in Nigeria, where I had spent a good part of my life raising talents and developing the industry stayed far away. Cricket. Even those I had assisted finding their first jobs in the marketing communication industry. Those who are now brand managers, creative directors, account planners, strategy directors, managing directors and all those sizzling titles. Wifey had told them "Kanny is a homo." In Nigeria, it doesn't matter what you have done to assist people. If you don't post updates such as 'Come and see what the Lord has done,' 'If not for Jesus,' 'Father Lord no ni' on your social media, you are an infidel. So you see all these people, after stealing company's money, after inflating media and production quotes, after giving so many kickbacks and receiving so many bribes running crony businesses. You see them on social media telling the world how God had brought them from nothing. How they are being elevated by the Almighty. They have a suction device to hide their shit.

As my shit started to fall through the roof, major clients left because they heard from someone who heard from someone, who heard from my ex-wife that I was gay. The ad industry in Nigeria quickly avoided me like a leper. The Lord had told them to stop talking to me. My shit had no hiding place. Remember I have no suction device. It's falling through the roof. It stinks too. But the Lord is graceful enough to help these people hide their own shit. They dwell in the shadows of the Almighty.

My yearly contract with the federal government (which trained thousands of graduates annually) ended. Speaking with the director of the program earlier, he claimed my wife had been to Abuja to tell them I was a pervert and had no moral standard to teach the youth how to develop their talents. In theory, when I spoke, my saliva emitted millions of gay matter that could infect unsuspecting young adults. In theory, also, I would be bringing the wrath of Jehovah upon a delicate nation already struggling with bad governance. This Jehovah, they claimed, was happy to live with the looters, the child-bride proponents, and the terrorists. The roads to the farms might be bad; the nation might not have electricity, and the cost of food might have skyrocketed, but nay! The sin of Kehinde and other such gay persons in the Republic was the abomination that had robbed Nigeria of its greatness.

I read the papers and online blogs, the chant I heard in the courtroom kept rising: kill the gays. Punish these homosexuals!

In August that year, instead of going back to the court to continue my trial, I flew to the US to begin my graduate degree. I left the only nation I had called home. Behind me was a kaleidoscope of a country with colors of corruption and injustices. Stella Oduah. Lawani. Oil subsidy. Bring back our girls, and all that military ammunition imbroglio. But nay! The sin of Kehinde and other such gay persons in the Republic was the abomination that had robbed Nigeria of its greatness.

I said goodbye to Aduke, my 80-year old mother. She looked me in my brown eyes and said, "home, my son, is wherever you find peace and happiness. Don't worry about me. Go!"

Now, it's November 2016. I'm on my way back to Lagos. I heard Aduke has now become a flower sprouting from the earth.

I'm looking through the window. We are about to land at Murtala Muhammed International Airport. I have just broken a sweat.

"Lagos is about ninety-five degrees," the captain says.

This shit is about to get real, and I have no suction device to hide it.

Chapecoense footballer Neto, who survived the Colombian plane tragedy was reading Bible before the crash

Chapecoense centre back, Helio Neto, one of only six people who survived the Colombian plane crash which killed 71, was reading a Bible passage about 'being safe in the shadow of your wings' before the crash. The footballer’s bible was found at the scene of the crash by journalist Roberto Cabrini.

In a video footage Cabrini notices the Bible with a note inside saying it belongs to the defender.

A bookmark had been inserted next to Psalm 63. It reads;

'On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night; Because you have been my help; Then I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings. My soul follows you closely; Your right hand upholds me."

The bible was handed to the footballer’s wife, who said that Neto is deeply religious and takes religious scriptures with him everywhere.

A total of 71 people lost their lives when the British-made Avro RJ85 aircraft came down en route to Medellin, where Brazilian side Chapecoense were due to play in the Copa Sudamericana final.

Pastor's mistress sets his home on fire; killing his wife, kids and a guest in Lagos

A lady identified as Rachel has set the home of one pastor Isaac Shofolabo whom she is having an affair with; killing his wife, two kids and a guest. The incident occurred around 1 a.m at 46, Oladunni Memorial Street, Double Powerline, Ejibo Lagos state.

According to neighbors, Rachel who is their tenant, has been dating the pastor who is in charge of Celestial Church of God, Joy of the Lord Parish located inside the premises for five years. The pastor's wife, Mary Shofolabo, his children Taiwo, 19, and Iredamola and a relative, Kazeem, 7, died at the General Hospital, Gbagada where they rushed to for treatment.

Narrating what happened, a neighbour who wants to remain anonymous said;

“It is a terrible thing, very shocking. It happened around 1am. It was Mama (the late Mrs Shofolabo) that woke up other residents with her scream. I was in my own room when I heard her voice and came out. Coming out, I saw fire on her body and she was shouting that Iya Rachel has burnt everyone in her house. That she saw someone moving from her house and thought it was a thief. But when she looked from her window, she saw that it was Iya Rachel. Since they are not close, she screamed and asked her what she was doing in her house. She woke up the other children at home and told them she saw a thief moving round and when they tried to go through the door, they realised it was locked from the outside. It was when they were returning to their room that they heard the explosion and people started running. It was Mama that used her hand to break her window so that they can all come out from there. When I saw her, fire was on her body and she was shouting that we should go and help her children inside the house that Iya Rachel has set fire in her house. I got to the place and saw Taiwo, Segun, Elijah and one other person.

They were the ones who told me that Kazeem was still inside, at that time, the fire was very heavy and no one could enter. Neighbours started trying to put out the fire while some of us rushed them to Isolo General Hospital but they were rejected. We went to a private hospital and they said we have to deposit N200,000. Since we didn’t have the money, we rushed to Gbagada General Hospital. There was no car and so, Mama and others were put inside tricycle, I stood by the edge of the tricycle, while Taiwo was carried on a motorcycle. By the time we got to the hospital, around 2am, Taiwo was swollen. They started treating them and they were responding. Mama even told the doctor on duty what she saw and explained everything to him. But later in the day, she passed on and few minutes after her, Taiwo died too. Their father came back from vigil around 4am and he saw what has happened. He followed some of the neighbours to the hospital to see them. The police was contacted that night. At the trauma and burns section of the Gbagada General, family members and sympathisers trooped in to see Segun and Elijah, who were severely burnt.

The surviving siblings, Bunmi, Felix and Kehinde corroborated the claim by the neighbours saying their mother narrated what she happened in the presence of the doctor before she died. Weeping uncontrollably, Bunmi revealed  yesterday was her sister, Taiwo’s 19th birthday, adding that she was e her colleagues at her work place had planned to celebrate it for her.
Bunmi said'

“Taiwo was very happy because it is the first time her birthday would be celebrated. At the saloon where she worked, her madam and colleagues had planned a celebration for her and she even called my cousin around 12am on Saturday telling her of the dress code and her new dance step. We do not have anyone. Our mummy was our only support and now, she has been taken from us.

My daddy knew the woman over five years ago when she moved into our compound with her husband. But her husband left when he discovered that she was my father’s lover. The woman has been causing problems for my mother. She was the reason I left the house. At a point, I told my mother to leave them that she should not put her mind in whatever they were doing. Yet, the woman was not satisfied. There was anniversary at the church on November 27 and people heard the woman complaining that my mother was overdressed and looking beautiful. That so, she could still look beautiful. They told my mother but she doesn’t take such things seriously. She didn’t read any meanings to it. Now, the worst has happened. We are crying for justice. We have reported to the police and we are begging them to investigate well because we know that something is not right. Let whoever was responsible for the fire and deaths of my mother, my sister, brother and Kazeem pay for it. We want justice.”

The billionaire divorcee who messed her face up with plastic surgery

Jocelyn Wildenstein, 76, holds the record for the highest ever divorce settlement in history. When she split from her billionaire husband of 21 years, Alec Wildenstein in 1999, she was awarded $2.5billion and $100million every year for 13 years. Plastic surgery has left her looking not-so-human and has led to her being nicknamed 'cat woman'.

She was in the news this week for domestic violence. She attacked her Canadian-born fashion designer boyfriend of 13 years, Lloyd Klein, 49, because he was on his laptop and wasn't paying her attention. She allegedly gouged him in the face with her nails and stabbed his chest with a pair of scissors. Klein was forced to shove her into a closet to prevent another attack before cops arrived to book her on felony assault charges. She has been charged with felony assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon and a misdemeanor assault with intent to cause physical injury.

At the time of her divorce, Alec said of her numerous cosmetic procedures:

'She was crazy. I would always find out last. She was thinking that she could fix her face like a piece of furniture. Skin does not work that way. But she wouldn’t listen,' said Alec at the time.

He married Liouba Stoupakova in 2000 and passed away in 2008 of prostate cancer.

Friday's Motivational Push

We all have goals and dreams, but it can be difficult to stick with them.
Each week, I hear from people who say things like, “I start with good intentions, but I can’t seem to maintain my consistency for a long period of time.”
Or, they will say, “I struggle with mental endurance. I get started but I can’t seem to follow through and stay focused for very long.”

Don’t worry. I’m just as guilty of this as anyone else.

For example, I’ll start one project, work on it for a little bit, then lose focus and try something else. And then I’ll lose focus on my new goal and try something else. And on and on. When everything is said and done, I’ve stopped and started so many times that I never really made much progress.
Maybe you have felt this way too.

When you look at the people who are consistently achieving their goals, you start to realize that it’s not the events or the results that make them different. It’s their commitment to the process. They fall in love with the daily practice, not the individual event.

What’s funny, of course, is that this focus on the process is what will allow you to enjoy the results anyway…

If you want to be a great writer, then having a best-selling book is wonderful. But the only way to reach that result is to fall in love with the process of writing.

If you want the world to know about your business, then it would be great to be featured in Forbes magazine. But the only way to reach that result is to fall in love with the process of marketing.

If you want to be in the best shape of your life, then losing 20 pounds might be necessary. But the only way to reach that result is to fall in love with the process of eating healthy and exercising consistently.

If you want to become significantly better at anything, you have to fall in love with the process of doing it. You have to fall in love with building the identity of someone who does the work, rather than merely dreaming about the results that you want.

In other words…

Fall in love with boredom. Fall in love with repetition and practice. Fall in love with the process of what you do and let the results take care of themselves.

Connor McGregor says he'll knockout Mayweather if they ever step into the ring together

There has been so much hype surrounding a potential fight between Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor. The state of California has granted the mixed martial artist a boxing license which makes the super fight more likely to happen.

Connor McGregor in his characteristic brashness says he'll knockout Mayweather if they ever step into the ring together.

He said:

'If I took out all those different disciplines and focused with the work ethic that I have on the sport of boxing, there's no telling what I could do. I wouldn't go in there just to show up. I'd go in there to knock him (Mayweather) out. He can be hit. He's been hit before. Age waits for no man, also. So I know they know that. I know the size, the reach and the youth is on my side.

There's a lot to lose for them. So that's why they're scrambling. But that's OK. I've got some other boxing opportunities and potential opponents in mind, some previous Floyd opponents. I can bring in anyone in the game. We'll see what happens.'

However, McGregor insisted that fighting the 'Money Team' leader, who has recently distanced himself from the idea, is not something he is particularly concerned with.

'Since I've got that boxing licence, Floyd's fat boxing manager came out and was like, "Floyd's in the Bahamas. He doesn't care about Conor. Well, I don't give a f*** about Floyd, either. If you don't want this fight, that's no problem. Other than the Floyd-Manny (Pacquaio) gate numbers, I hold all the numbers, other than that one fight. So I don't need Floyd. I do not need him.

The Weekend says he uses drugs for inspiration when writing his music

The Ethiopian-Canadian singer whose real name is Abel Tesfaye used to have a drug habit after first smoking weed at the age of 11. Those junkie days are behind him now but he admits he occasionally turns to drugs when in need of inspiration while writing his songs. The 26-year-old Oscar nominee admitted he used marijuana, Hennessy, and 'a few more things' in the recording studio for his album, Starboy.

'The past couple of albums, I do get back to [using drugs as a crutch]. 'Even on this new album. You have writer's block. And sometimes you're like, "I can't do this sober." I had to get that little jump, and the ball started rolling. And then I didn't need it anymore.'

The Weeknd - stressing that he's now 'in control' - first smoked weed at age 11 before moving onto cocaine, MDMA, painkillers, Xanax, mushrooms, ketamine, and cough syrup back in his Toronto hometown. 'When I had nothing to do but make music, it was very heavy.'

'Drugs were a crutch for me. There were songs on my first record that were seven minutes long, rambling - whatever thoughts I was having when I was under the influence at the time. I can't see myself doing that now.'

The high school drop out sorted himself out and forged a successful career in music, he has gotten his mother, Samra a car and a house. He said:

'I couldn't ever go back home without being something. I probably would never have gone back home if...That was definitely a big motivation. To get back home, and not empty-handed.'
